Chevalier French Legion of Honour 22 August 1919
1914/14 Star
British War Medal
Victory Medal

He served in the RMA Division from 12 December 1914 to 2 february 1915 presumably at Eastney and was appointed to the RNAS from 3 February 1915 to 31 March 1918. Old Navy Lists show that in May 1915 he was serving in No.1 Squadron RNAS as an Observer. On April 17 he was at Dunkirk and in April 1918 he was at Eastchurch.

Since he was awarded the Legion of Honour at the end of the war by the French one assumes that he peformed the job of Observer with some credit since very few of these received decorations.
He transferred to the RAF on 1 April 1918 and his further career cannot be traced. The Air Force List for January 1923 does not list him.
