R.H.S. Teek transferred to the F.A.A like 18 other RM Officers in 1925 under AF.O. 1058/24. Having qualified as a pilot on 24 July 1925, he then served in 440 Flight in Eagle where he celebrated by having a deck landing "prang" in the presence of other RM pilots - Warren, Cathcart - Jones, Wildman - Lushington & Co. After ten months in Eagle he returned to R.A.F Gosport where he remained until 11 May 1927 when he returned to Corps Duty.

He retired on 23 January 1948 and went to live in Rhodesia where he died on 1 May 1976.
