Andrew Eames entered as a Short Service officer in September 1964. He later transferred to Short Service (Flying) during officer training.
After flying training Andrew served in 845 Naval Air Squadron, and then on exchange to AAC in 24 Bde's Squadron - Spearhead to NI in Aug 69 (The first Marine on an emergency tour by one day!)
He transferred to the General List in 1971 and went on to serve in: 41 Cdo in Malta, Dept CGRM (when there was such a thing) as DAAG(PS), 40 Cdo as OC A Coy, Fearless as AOO, MoD as SO1 Def Sys, Naples as SO1 Amphib in HQ COMSTRIKFORSOUTH, and finally at Fleet HQ before retiring in 1995.
